To the Knights of the York Cross of Honour,
For our last meeting we were excited to say that summer is here, warm temperatures and sunny skies. All too quickly we are looking at football and school starting.
Our third meeting will be September 6th, at the Northwest Temple in Worthington, 2436 West Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio. There will be a short delay on our start time due to an event in the lodge room in the morning. The Officer’s meeting will be at 11:30, lunch will be 12:30 and the meeting will start at 2:00. The time gap is for set-up in the lodge room.
Lunch will be Italian chicken, side salad, cheesy potatoes, green beans, pie, coffee, ice tea, lemonade, water with a cost of $20.00 per person. Please send reservations to Charles Swank, 513-476-3725, 1132 Golf Club Drive, Lebanon, Ohio 45036 or Charles_swank@yahoo.com. Reservations will be accepted until August 29th.
Under the direction of Roger Bair, we will continue to work on reviving the choir. Please join us for that effort, it adds a great deal. Even though it will be the week of Labor Day, we will break the fashion rule and wear white dinner jackets for officers and past Priors.
Due to the central location there are no hotel rooms reserved but there are several motels/hotels available in the area. There will be a friendship time after the meeting at the temple.
There will be a program for the ladies during the afternoon. The new director of the Make-A-Wish foundation in Ohio will do a short presentation. We hope everyone will welcome her. We will probably have an easy craft following the program. We understand there will be a Tea Table available in the afternoon.
Fraternally,
Alan Bacon, Eminent Prior
